Announcements for the Week of November13th

Ladies Who are Interested in a Small Group – Now: Ladies, if you are interested in joining a small group, please contact one of us lady leaders (Me – Jill, Michelle, Sandi, or Emily). We will be meeting this week to discuss the direction of small groups and the potential for new small groups!

Attention – Beard Needed – Now: Our good friend Nora is in need of a beard. She is not particular about the texture, color, or specifics of the beard, she is just in need of any beard you are willing to offer her on a borrowing basis. Please contact Nora or see her at Sunday service if you have a beard you are willing to lend out.

Come out and Dance! Dance! - This Thursday: I'm very excited to announce that I'm putting together a little trip to the ICON dance center in Englishtown this Thursday for an adult hip-hop class that just started up last week. I was the only person who showed last week so I need to recruit more dancing fools! The class is hip-hop for beginners taught by a world renowned choreographer in a beautiful new dance center. The class is $12. We can all meet at my house and car pool. We would need to leave a little bit before 8. The class runs 8:30 – 9:30. If you are interested, please contact me, jillrgallo@yahoo.com. Also in the works is a Monday night trip to Salsa class at the same fine establishment.

Let China Buffet Take You Way – This Friday: Join the one and only Tom Sasso and others as they dine in style at the Middletown China Buffet. Meet outside at high noon.

ORB Benefit Show – This Friday: On November 16th, at 7:00PM there will be a fundraising Show at the Trinity Episcopal Church (where we meet for YAG, just upstairs). The funds will go to help support Matt Littlehale's Mission trip to Russia, and ORB's own Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic. The cost will be 10$. Roster of bands: The Ringout, Infinite Detour, Boy Girl Sleepover, Tsunamis, Triangle Shirt Factory.

Thrift Shop Tour – This Saturday: This Saturday we will be going on a Thrift Store Tour! We will leave early on Saturday morning (9am) and head out to the Lancaster area of Pennsylvania and try to hit a few thrift stores out there and then head home later that night after a wonderful dinner at some delicious place that Josh Valerio has suggested. If interested talk to Pete Andrews (pete@submergentmusic.com). Be sure to pack food or bring money for food and also cash or fundage for any and all shopping you plan on doing.

Eugene's Band is Rocking Out! – This Saturday: Be there or be square as Eugene's band rocks out at Starland Ballroom this Saturday. Tickets are $12 and the show starts at 7:00pm.

Sunday Night Service – This Sunday and EVERY Sunday: The Sunday service will be held in the sanctuary this week. The YAG group (us) is in charge of setup and take down. Please come early to help set up if you are available! The service starts this week and every week at 5:00pm although we are usually in the room right above the ORB basement. Hope to see you there!

Support our Troops – In Between now and This Sunday: Beth is collecting the following items for our troops over in the Middle East. Please either consider donating some of these items and bring them to Beth at either a Tuesday night YAG (in the next two weeks) or to the Sunday service by November 18th OR if you have no time to go out and get the items yourself, you could give Beth some money and she will purchase the items you would like to donate! The items are: Travel Size Shampoo, disposable Razors, Moist Wipes, Toothbrushes, Tooth paste (travel size), Chap-stick, Gum, Individual Packets of Powdered Drink Mix, hard Candy, and any Letters of Thanks for them you would like to write.

Gobble, Gobble, It's Turkey Bowl – November 23 : On Friday, November 23rd, the Annual Turkey Bowl Flag Football event of the year will be happening at the Count Basie Fields – 10:30am! And that same evening will be the Homecoming Dance at the Episcopal church (upstairs). It will start between 7 and 7:30pm and there will be a fee to get in. Exact times and fees have not been confirmed yet. So plan your day around those two events.

YAG Christmas Party – December 18: Make sure you are able to come to YAG on December 18th because we will be kicking off Christmas with the annual White Elephant gift exchange. Bring some awesome…or bring something stupid…just wrap that baby up and get it under the tree and wait for insanity to ensue. I'm waiting for those samurai swords to resurface this year!

Christmas Connect Shopping – December 20: Starting next week, we will be collecting money if you would like to donate to this year's Connect shopping efforts. We do this every year to help an underprivileged family or families in Red Bank have a Merry Christmas. If you would like to contribute, please see Sandi. If you would like to participate in the shopping for the event, we will be meeting on December 20. More detailed information to be announced in the upcoming weeks.

Christmas Party at Juan (& a slew of other people's house) – December 22: On December 22nd there will be a morning Christmas Party at Juan Rivera's house (also Matt Pucci, Jared Murray, Matt Littlehale and Josh Valerio's house). It will take place at 9AM sharp. Come in your PJ's for a gift exchange, a reading of the Christmas Story and breakfast!

Prayer Groups – Every Wednesday morning and Sunday afternoon: There are two prayer groups that meet during the week. One meets Wednesday mornings at 6:30AM at the Church. The other meets at 4PM on Sundays before the service in room three. This room is right off of the room we worship in.

If you live near Keyport and you like to play with puppies - Anytime: If you live near Keyport and like to play with puppies, Brandon and I have a great opportunity for you! Our new bulldog puppy is so adorable and squishy and loves to be loved. We are out of the house 12 hours+ a day because of work and the commute. If you ever want to stop in and rub his little belly, just let us know. You are not required to be on poop dutie (haha) and his feedings are automatic from a dog food robot. We just want someone to stop in and give the little dude some love once in a while. Contact Jill or Brandon if you are interested (jillrgallo@yahoo.com or bamurray@kpmg.com)
