week of Sep. 26th announcements

-RETREAT October 13/14/15 $95 per person,
but if you can't afford that, talk to one of the leaders,
there are some "scholarships" available

-Nintendo Fusion Tour- Oct. 6th,
try out new games and stuff, talk to Brandon for more info.

-Big Thanks to those who helped with the FORBES show this past Friday

- Sat. Sep. 30th at Brookdale
there is a mixed martial arts fight, see Tom S. for more details

- Saturdays at 7 pm "The Door" outreach, come check it out at
4012 Asbury Ave. Tinton Falls

-Flag football is now being played at the RBC practice field on White Rd.
in Little Silver. Off of Rt. 35, turn onto White. Rd.
(it's a right if you're coming from south and a left if you're coming from
north)
and continue for about 10 seconds...right after the train tracks, turn left
into the parking lot...
you'll see us. We're pretty obvious. If
we're not there(as we OFTEN get kicked off of fields), you can call Matt
Agresti @ 732-233-0456.10 or 11 am Saturdays

- Softball Sundays 12:30 pm, come one, come all, calling all hecklers,
musicians or people
with instruments who can play something, cheerleaders, support the team
at the Count Basie field

- Brookdale study hour- Mondays from 12-2 pm at the Student Life Center,
near the bookstore;
Monmouth U. study hour- Thursdays at 8 pm at the student center;
also, there is something starting at Rutgers, it's in the planning
process as of late

-TONIGHT- Allie Moss is playing/singing at the Saint,
$12 at the door, $10 if you talk to her

-FORBES show this Friday, September 22nd (in case you didn't notice in the prayer requests) 6 pm, $10, bands coming: Bombtown, Infinite Detour, The Ringout, Threeve, Siafu (from FL)

FLAG FOOTBALL CORRECTION!

week of Sep. 12th YAG prayer requests/announcements

ANNOUNCEMENTS

-Donald Miller (author of Blue Like Jazz among other things) is coming to Somerset Christian College, see Bueno for more details

-Come this Saturday, September 16th!!!! DANCE FOR DARFUR block party event to raise awareness of the genocide. There'll be speakers, performers, vendors. All proceeds go to fight injustice in Sudan. Oh yeah, it's in NYC, 17st. between 8th and 9th Ave.

-This Friday, Rob Blue's doing a show at the Internet Cafe here in RB at 7 pm, the cost is $10 or less, come out and support some ORB musicians

-another show, September Smash, $12, 7 pm at New Monmouth Baptist Church

-Football, Saturdays at 10 am at Fair Haven Fields

-Apple picking, yum!, September 23rd, more details to come

Announcements for the week of September 4th

Wednesdays, at 6:30 PM at Fair Haven Fields, Ultimate Frisbee is
played!  Please go out and join everyone in a great game!   Co-ed, all
are welcome!

Saturdays, 10AM Football will be played!!  This is a co-ed thing.  All
are welcome to play.  It's flag football.  They will be playing at the Red Bank Regional Practice fields behind the school.
  
October 13-15th, Fall Retreat at Streamside Retreat Center in
Pennsylvania.  The cost is 95$, but if you won't be able to go because
of the cost, please let us know and we will try to work something out
for you!  Otherwise, start saving now!  It's going to be a great
weekend.

Friday, September 8th Rob Butkowski's band, Infinite Detour, will be
playing an acoustic set at Espresso Joe's in Keyport.  They will also
be playing on Saturday the 9th in Toms River. Contact Rob for more
details.

There will be a weekly prayer meeting held at the Church on Wednesday
mornings at 6AM .  Contact Matt Littlehale if interested in attending
or to get more information.

Saturday, Sept. 16, 2006 Dance for Darfur block party event from
11am-6pm on 17th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues
in NYC.  There will be international dance performers, guest speakers
(including people from Darfur), live DJs, arts & crafts and more...the
event is free and the main purpose is to educate people on the
genocide that is occurring in Darfur and to raise money to help the
relief efforts that are desperately needed there.  Visit the website

If interested in helping to set up for the Sunday Worship Service, please come to the church by 2 PM on Sundays and help out!  

Andy Newberry is looking into having study hours at the student center at Brookdale.  This will be not only for Brookdale students but for anyone who wants to come.  Talk to Andy so he can work out a good time for doing this.

Also, for any guys interested in being part of a small group, talk to Andy about your availability so we can get you started with a small group!
