Announcements for the week of May 29TH

Sunday, June 4th at 3PM in the ORB Basement, there will be a meeting for all those interested in finding out about Community Service Opportunites in Red Bank. This will be hosted by Mariya Khandros

Sunday June 4th at 4PM in the ORB Basement, there will be a prayer meeting held by the High School students.

Saturday, June 3rd at 11AM there will be soccer at Thompson Middle School. Come one, come all!

ORB FILM FESTIVAL to be held some time in August. If you are interested in submitting a short film, please get filming. If you need a camera, talk to someone who has one and see if you can borrow it, or get in on their flick that they're making!

ANNOUNCEMENTS for the week of May 15TH

ORB PROM!!! It is this Friday night, May 19th at 7 PM in the same place where we have Sunday Night Worship services. The cost is 20$ and includes dinner, dessert and an enchanting evening of dancing under hundreds of hand-made stars!! Please come! The theme is Pirates and Princesses of the open seas! So come dressed accordingly! Or however you want, but come and join us please! This is a great event to bring friends to!

KEVIN KING is graduating from Brookdale this Sunday may 21st at 2 PM in the gym at Brookdale for any who would like to attend and support him on this momentous day!

ANDY NEWBERRY is looking for people to help out with food for prom. If you would like to cook, bake, set up, serve, clean up, etc., please get in touch with Andy Newberry.

ALS (Lou gehrig's disease) WALK organized for ORB by Jay Ervin will happen this weekend, Sunday May 21st at 11AM at Seven Presidents Park in Long Branch. ANNOUNCEMENTS for the week of May 8TH

ORB PROM: Will be held on Friday, May 19th at 7 PM. The cost is 20$ per person. Dinner will be served and awesome times will be had by all...or else! The theme of the prom is "pirates and princesses of the open seas", so plan your outfits accordingly! If you have any special requests for music you must make them known to Juan Rivera so that he can try to make that happen for you. But some songs just will not be played there.

PROM BUILDING: This Saturday, May 13th at 11 AM in the ORB Basement, there will be a group meeting to build a pirate ship for the Prom! If you want to be a part of history in the making, come on out and help!

FOOD FOR PROM: If interested in helping make, serve or do anything to help organize food for the Prom, talk to Andy Newberry!

BIGGER AND BETTER PAPERCLIP UPDATES:

VORBTEX: Volunteer Orb Extreme: (they go to the Old Folks Home and hang out with cool peopel) will be meeting next Monday, May 22nd at 6:30. If you would like more info or are interested in joining them, talk to Matt Littlehale.

FORBES: Fundraising Club for other organizations outside of ORB. They will be meeting on Monday, May 15th at 7 PM at Matt's apartment on South Street in Red Bank. If interested, again, talk to Matt Littlehale.

SANDI'S SMALL GROUP: We will be meeting this Thursday, May 11th at my house at 8:30 PM. We are going to try to talk through chapeters 9-13 of The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardobe. But Emily is home and we will probably want to hear all her stories! So we will see what we get done. If you want to bring something to eat, please do!

SOCCER : Meet this Saturday at Thompson Middle School in Middletown, on the corner of Middletown Lincroft Road and Dwight Road. 11 AM!

EATING DISORDER CONFERENCE: This Friday, May 12th from 7-10 PM at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge (123 White Oak Lane in Old bridge NJ 08857) This is not only for people who struggle with the disorders, but also for people who know others who struggle and would like to know more about how to relate to them. If you know someone who has an eating disorder, and they would be open to going, please invite them to go and go with them. The Prom is Coming, the Prom is Coming!

Hello young adults, the prom is coming and we need your help!!! There's a lot of work to do, and we need some strong young adult backs. In order to prepare for the prom, we are meeting at 11:00AM on Saturday in the basement to start building stuff, painting stuff, and dreaming up more stuff to build, paint and dream up. We'll be there for most of the day(at least until 5:00) and we'll probably order pizzas or something, so bring a few bucks for almuerzo(lunch). We need as much help as we can get, so come one, come all!

Announcements

ORB PROM will be held on May 19th at the Episcopal Church in Red Bank. That's where we meet now, but not in the basement, up in the big room where we have church! The cost will be 20$ per person. I think it starts around 7 PM. The theme is pirates and princesses of the open seas. Come have a blast!

SPRING SUMMER ACTIVITY CLUB or S.S.A.C.: This Thursday we are meeting at HOLE in ONE GOLF on Route 36 in Leonardo at 7PM for some fun on the fake Golf Course! Come and Join in!

We need help naming a painting that Katie Carfagno painted. It's awesome. It is of her brother and Nick D'Angelo playing their trumpets(?) So, think of a great title, and let us know what you come up with.

Sandi's small group will be meeting on May 11th, 8:30 PM at Sandi's house. We will be covering Chapters 9-11 of the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. (Who am I kidding! We will be hearing all of Emily's tales of adventure from the road!!) But read anyway! Anyone want to bring some food? Call me and let me know 732-671-0809.

Announcements for the week of May 1st

Sandi's small group will be meeting again on May 11th, (NOT THIS WEEK, But Next) 8:30 PM. Chapters 9-13 The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Maybe Emily will be back by then?

Nightmare Frisbee will be happening in the near future. That's ultimate frisbee in the dark. Stay tuned for dates and times!

Fundraising Meeting: This Wednesday May 3rd, at Matt Littlehale's place: 132 South Street, Red Bank, apartment 2C. 7PM Come if interested in helping ORB raise money for itself and other organizations!!
