~Every Sunday at 5PM we have a worship service in the upstairs portion of the Episcopal Church. This week YAG is in charge of set-up and take-down, so come early (like 3:30ish, or whenever you can make it) and help set-up the room and also stick around after to help clean-up after the service.
~The annual Turkey Bowl is just around the corner! Save the date for this Friday, Nov. 28, between 10AM and 2PM at Count Basie Field.
~Get ready for the Homecoming Hoedown!! At this year's Hoedown, we'll be holding a pie-baking contest!! So come ready with your best baked goods! The Homecoming Hoedown will take place this Friday, November 28th at 7PM (following the Turkey Bowl). Tickets are $10. Hey young adults! – We are in charge of bringing some extra desserts to this event so bring some extra baked goodies if you can!
~In preparation for the ORB DR missions trip this upcoming January, the DR team is collecting summer clothing to bring with them to the DR. If you have any lightweight summer clothing you'd like to donate, please bring them on a Sunday to the worship service or to YAG on a Tuesday.
~Want to help support the Dominican Republic Missions Trip?? Go shopping at Ten Thousand Villages on December 13, between 5-9pm, and 15% of whatever you spend will go to the DR Team! Ten Thousand Villages is a non-profit retail store that specializes in fair-trade items, where the artisans are paid fair wages.
~The ORB CARE team provides a wide variety of service opportunities to people in the ORB community who are looking for ways to serve others in the local Red Bank and Monmouth county community. Every Monday morning at 9AM, a group goes to Lunch Break, a local soup kitchen in Red Bank, to serve food to the poor. If you are interested in this opportunity or learning about other ways to get involved in ORB CARE, please contact CDLC.
~Goldie's Last Day Christmas Morning Party is on December 20th, at 9am at 16 Frances Street, Shrewsbury, NJ. Be sure to bring a sweet gift for a gift exchange!
~On Tuesday, December 9th, YAG will be heading out to do Connect shopping! We won't be meeting at the basement, but rather we will go to Targét (Target) in Middletown, where we will be buying Christmas presents for a family in need.
~Every Wednesday morning at 6:30am there is a prayer group that meets at Matt Littlehale's house. If you're interested in coming, please come talk to Matt.
~YAG Christmas party - you must bring the most weird, quirky, ornament that you can bring (in addition to the White Elephant Gift Exchange) More details to follow! December 16th.
~Young Adult Adventure Klub (YAAK) will be doing a winter hike on Friday, December 26th -- what a great way to burn off the calories after gorging ourselves on Christmas food?? jk. Big Rick will be your guide to the wilderness, and be sure to dress warmly!! More details to follow!

Announcements!

~There is an ORB worship service every Sunday at 5pm. This week YAG is in charge of doing the powerpoint- it's seriously the most rewarding thing you can do on a Sunday night...so lend a hand! (literally)
~There will be an ORB Basement Coffeehouse on Friday, November 7th from 6pm – 10pm. Cost is $5 at the door which will be fully donated to the ORB HS Group retreat fund. There are a TON of Yaggers playing this show including but not limited to: Dan Padgett, Chris dela Cruz, Eugene, Big Rick, Dragon (aka Matt Cook) and Leah!!
~The first Tuesday of every month, Orbcare goes to Ronald MacDonald House to help serve dinner. The Ronald MacDonald House houses families who's children are in the hospital. From 4-6 pm. email chris@theorb.org for details!

~Get ready for Thrift Store Fall Tour 08! Save the date for Sat., November 8th (most likely). This is a day of endless fun in thrifting and eating together...you'll visit numerous thrift shops and possibly eat the best meal of your life. Come see Pete if you're interested.
~Goldie's Last Day is slowly approaching!! On the morning of Saturday, December 20th there will be a Christmas party at Juan's house! Come celebrate Christmas as a gigantic community and family. There will be bible reading, the exchanging of gifts and some extra special surprises!!

~Brian Lootsma, Jay N and Jared R. are in a small group that meets in the basement on Tuesdays during the afternoon and are looking for people to join. As a small group they are going through the book of Proverbs right now. If you are interested in joining, come see Jay N.
